We started by introducing the Resource Center and demonstrating how to log into the website dashboard. From there, we explored how to upload images, edit posts and pages, and make changes using the Elementor page builder—while reassuring everyone that any updates remain in draft mode until published.

We also covered how rental listings automatically refresh from AppFolio every six hours, simplifying content updates. The session highlighted the differences between standard and background images, as well as how global elements like the header and footer can be efficiently managed across the site. We touched on key SEO tips too, including how to update the site title and use tools like the SEO Framework and RankMath SEO to improve search engine visibility.

Training Session 2

August 18, 2025

Video Summary

In this training session, we revisited the essentials of managing the property management website while introducing several advanced features. We started by highlighting the new Resource Center link on c21propmanagement.ca, where training recordings and support materials are now available for easy access. Liam recapped the basics of logging into the WordPress dashboard, editing with Elementor, and ensuring pages display correctly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Extra emphasis was placed on responsive design, showing how to adjust text, images, and layouts for mobile viewing since most traffic comes from phones.

The session then expanded into blog management, demonstrating how to create, edit, and publish posts, add images and featured images, and duplicate posts for ongoing updates such as market reports. From there, we explored Elementor templates, showing how to quickly build new pages using pre-designed layouts or entire page templates from the Elementor library—making it simple to create polished, responsive content without starting from scratch.

We also covered the scope of Benchmetrics’ support services: quick fixes like typos and contact updates are included, while larger edits, new page creation, or professional copywriting fall under the à la carte design hours package. The team also introduced additional offerings such as monthly digital strategy calls for SEO and ad campaign planning, plus support for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad campaigns, including rental listing syndication and lead capture through forms that integrate with Google Sheets for real-time notifications.

The session wrapped up with Q&A, clarifying the differences between standard support and add-on services, and discussing how Facebook and Instagram ads can be tailored to property management needs, including sponsored placements in Facebook Marketplace and other channels.
